PARSHIP - LOVETOPIA

For this visually driven Parship campaign, 27 Kilometer Entertainment brought me on board for an exciting challenge: integrating AI into a high-end commercial pipeline at a time when established AI workflows didn’t really exist yet.

Given a lot of creative freedom, my role was a mix of look development, R&D, and classic VFX. The mission was to experiment with emerging generative tools to create unique visual assets, and then rely on robust, traditional compositing in After Effects to piece them together into a flawless, broadcast-ready film. A true hybrid approach of experimentation and technical execution.

WORKFLOW BREAKDOWNGREENSCREEN & AI INTEGRATION

The core challenge of these shots was merging traditional live-action greenscreen footage with surreal environments entirely generated by AI.

While specialized artists in the team crafted the skies and backgrounds using Midjourney and Runway, my responsibility was the high-end compositing. I focused on precise keying, color matching, and seamless integration to ensure the real actors felt perfectly grounded in these AI-driven worlds. It’s about taking disparate technological pieces and making them feel like one cohesive, cinematic shot.

MOTION DESIGN& COLLAGE ANIMATION

The brief called for a dynamic „love collage“ celebrating diverse portraits. I was provided with a library of raw, AI-generated character images and backgrounds, and my job was to bring them to life.

I designed the visual layout and utilized expert motion design and compositing to turn these static, disparate assets into a fluid, rhythmic sequence. It’s a perfect example of how raw AI elements still need strong, traditional motion design to achieve dynamic, high-impact visual storytelling.

GENERATIVE FILL& HYBRID COMPOSITING

This sequence perfectly highlights the power of a hybrid workflow. Starting with a basic AI-generated sky, I used Photoshop’s Generative Fill to expand the image into a massive panoramic matte painting. Once the canvas was large enough, I brought it into After Effects to animate the complex camera move, integrate the CGI heart balloons, and add atmospheric depth. The AI provided the raw material, but classic compositing brought the cinematic magic to life.
